Our Core Mandate

"To provide the Indian retail investor with the same caliber of unvarnished scrutiny and rigorous analysis historically reserved for institutional terminal subscribers."

1. Fact-Checking and Verification

Every assertion of fact published in The Financial Journal must be verified by primary sources. We do not rely on secondary reporting without independent corroboration. Our analysts review underlying financial statements (SEBI filings, earnings transcripts) rather than press releases.

2. Separation of Advertising and Editorial

The division between our editorial desk and commercial operations is absolute. Advertisers, sponsors, and partners have zero influence over our coverage, story selection, or critical analysis. "Native advertising" or "Sponsored Content" is strictly prohibited on our platform to prevent reader deception.

3. Financial Disclosures

Our journalists and analysts are occasionally permitted to hold securities in the sectors they cover. However, a strict disclosure mandate is enforced. Any author owning equity or debt in a company they are analyzing must explicitly state that position in the author bio box at the conclusion of the article. Front-running or trading ahead of publication is grounds for immediate termination.

4. Corrections Policy

When we err, we admit it promptly and transparently. We do not stealth-edit articles to remove factual mistakes. All corrections are appended to the top of the relevant article, noting the time of the change and the exact nature of the error.
